Wow! I actually rode my bicycle to work this morning! That was exilarating. It wasn't easy as there were uphill battles (partially walked). I also had to stop in at the university police/parking services offices to get my bike permit so that I could park on campus without getting ticketed. Good thing that's free. I already pay about $160 for parking and that will be going up by leaps and bounds for the next few years since they're in the process of building a huge parking garage, with talks of future garages.
We'll see how I do going home. Almost all of the way home is uphill, so I might be taking the long way home up College Ave before crossing to Rocky Ford. It's much flatter that way. I hope to ride my bike, weather permitting, two to three times a week to save money on gas. I also really need the excerise, and as I found out even more this morning, I'm desparately out of shape. Lots of benefits! Hopefully tomorrow I'll remember my water... I'll continue to get the parking permit even with the increasing costs, because I have no doubt I'll continue to drive most of the time, especially since in the Fall I have an evening course on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Cory and I rode our bikes to church on Sunday, it was about 3 miles round trip so it wasn't too bad, although I am WAY out of shape too. Hopefully we'll start making a routine out of it so we can get into a little bit better shape.
